Welcome to the Resistance! And welcome to Resistance Victoria!

Congratulations on making two great choices so far!

You’re joining a wonderful community where we share and celebrate all the good things in life - food, beer, pets, Melbourne life, and very importantly, Ingress, being part of the Resistance and painting the town blue together.

Our goal is to provide a fun and supportive community to help you achieve your goals for the game as well as working together and winning as a team when there are special events such as anomalies.

Q.1 What is Ingress?

Ingress is an augmented reality game that turns the world around you into a battle, with humankind's minds at stake.

Play Ingress on the streets of Victoria. Meet agents who play in the areas you do and fight with them to protect humanity's freedom. Discover agents you can depend on to help you when you need assistance in the field.

Download the mobile scanner app to discover thousands of portals around you. Buildings, historic landmarks and cultural points of interest become portals for you to fight for and defend from alien incursion.

Q.2 Why join a community?

The Victorian Resistance has a long and proud history of teamwork, collaboration and most importantly, fun!

By joining us, you'll have access to regular events so you can stock up on gear, regular operations so you can put your mark on the map, as well as help almost any time of the day or night.

Joining the community benefits you and everyone else — it takes eight level 8 players to make a level 8 portal, and the easier it is to coordinate with people, the more easily you'll be able to gear up to take and hold your area.

Q.3 Why are there two separate Victorian Resistance communities?

Sometimes the plot gets lost when the objective of the game turns team goals into personal goals. Those who were viewed as a threat to those personal goals were simply removed from the community without any recourse.

Hence, the Victorian community has decided to split from vic.blue to form the new ResVic.org. This new community is about growth, teaching each other about Ingress, sharing knowledge and having fun! Everybody is respected and is free to speak.

ResVic.org is the evolution of the past community, with active members, regular events and automated insights and news! In essence, ResVic.org is a modern community, by the people and for the people!
